Summer Events in Sheffield

Sheffield is definitely the place to be over the summer. From festivals to food festivals, there’s so much going on! We’ve put together a list of the biggest must see events.

Sheffield Food Festival

This is Sheffield’s largest free event to attend and takes place on 26th-28th May. The food festival features a variety of local food businesses with every cuisine imaginable! Located in the city centre, it’s the perfect opportunity to eat your way around the city and then relax with some live music.

Tramlines Festival

If you’re looking for a party then Tramlines is the place to be. With over 70 acts to choose from and headline performances from Stereophonics, Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds and Craig David, it will be a weekend to remember. This year Tramlines celebrates its 10th birthday and the event takes place at Hillsborough Park in July. If you’re thinking of attending, then contact us to book direct to receive 10% off your stay* and a free beer on check-in!

Doc/Fest

If documentaries are your thing then check out Doc/Fest in June, the UK’s premier documentary festival. The event spans over unique spaces in Sheffield and features the likes of Sir Trevor McDonald and Vicky McClure. If you’re interested in attending, then take a look at the budget accommodation passes available.

RHS Chatsworth Flower Show

You can’t come to Sheffield and not visit Chatsworth House.  They’re hosting their annual flower show in June this year and have a host of beautiful things to do whilst there. Jonas is just a half an hour drive away so it’s the perfect place to stay, why not stay a while and make a holiday out of it?

If you aren’t attending any events in the city there are still plenty of activities to fill your day. Speak to any of the team for advice on where to go whilst staying with us.
