Living differently, living Jonas

Jonas Court was built in the 1990’s as catered student accommodation, for two decades it welcomed swathes of students each September through its doors. With 150 bedrooms over four floors, thousands of people studying at the University of Sheffield have called Jonas home at one time or another. Jonas is now part of the forward march of accommodation as it rapidly reinvents itself. We offer flexible stay accommodation for modern travelers; whether you’re a University student, visiting the city for work or you’re on vacation, we’re ready to welcome you in to our diverse community.

We’re all about bringing people together, which is why we’ve spent a good portion of the last few months bringing down walls on our ground floor. As you enter you’ll find a large mostly-open-plan social space complete with cafe, games rooms, lounges and a couple of soundproofed study rooms to save you those late night walks home from the library. If you’re with us for a long stay, why not bring your games console with you and plug it in to the large TV’s we have mounted in the games room? It’s a pretty good way to get to meet your fellow residents, and maybe one of our staff will even beat you at FIFA.

If you’re with us for less than 7 nights, you’ll be classed as a hotel guest. Hotel guests get to stay on the top floor, which is pretty cool if you like looking out over things. If your stay is longer than that you’ll be a stay a while guest. Dead simple. If you’re staying a while, you’ll get a few extra things to make your stay a little easier; each of our floors with stay a while guests comes with a large well equipped communal kitchen, along with lockers to store your cupboard staples. Whichever category you fall in to, we’ll see you off each morning with a pastry and a brew on us.
