Best Brunch Spots in Sheffield

When you arrive here at Jonas you’re sure to be spoilt for choice with the number of brunch spots in Sheffield. We’ve done the very hard job of testing some places for you (you can thank us later!) and have the best of the bunch to share with you.

A Short Walk

Jonas Hotel is near the Sharrowvale Road area, also known as the “Foodie Mile”. Your first point of call needs to be Made by Jonty for their signature breakfast burrito. Make sure you save room for a slice of their freshly made cake. The best part is, they serve breakfast all day so you can be as leisurely as you like.

If you’re on the hunt for vegetarian and vegan food then look no further than Pom Kitchen. These guys offer the most Instagrammable food you have ever seen!! We suggest a Rainbow latte and a Jaffle – the Australian name for a toastie.

City Centre

Tamper Coffee Sellers Wheel is an absolute must! This New Zealand inspired café has the best coffee in Sheffield, it’s tradition to drink more than one while you’re there. If you have a sweet tooth go for the French toast which changes weekly. Or, if you’re more traditional, you can’t go wrong with the Big Kiwi (Full English). Get here early if you’re going on the weekend, it gets busy. But it’s worth the early start and the double shot coffees will help!

Coffee not your thing? Then Birdhouse Tea offers every brew imaginable. For the full Sheffield experience order the Sheffield rarebit with a Kelham Island tea. They also sell their tea in store so you can take some home for your mates, or just stock up for yourself if you’re a hotel guest here at Jonas!

Bottomless Brunch. Need we say more?! Head on over to The Devonshire for bottomless cocktails and a meal for just £25 on the weekend. From experience, the hair of the dog is perfect for the hangover as well!

Worth the Trip

Kelham Island is a short bus ride away but there’s so much to explore in the area. Depot Bakery offers the best selection of egg based brunch meals ever! They also bake their own bread so pick up a loaf to take back with you if you’re a stay a while guest with us. The cafe is based next to Kelham Arcade which plays host to independent retailers so make the most of it while you’re there.

Whilst you’re in the Kelham area make sure you hit up The Grind. Their sausage rolls are infamous amongst Sheffield folk. We challenge you to order in your best Yorkshire accent using all the slang, we have a guide to help you!

Forge Bakehouse on Abbeydale Road started as a bakery but has since expanded to a café. Their sourdough bread is to die for so make sure you order some along with baked eggs. It’s also well worth a visit in the evening if you book onto their supper club.

So there we have it kids, our top picks. There are so many other places we could have mentioned, seems like Sheffield is the brunch capital of Yorkshire!
