With the 2026 lineup including huge names like Fatboy Slim, The Courteeners and Wolf Alice, it’s shaping up to be another big one. And while the festival itself is based in Hillsborough, the knock-on effect is felt right across the city.
There’s no camping or accommodation at Tramlines, which means finding somewhere decent to stay can be tricky. Somewhere affordable, well-connected and relaxed enough to feel like a base rather than just a bed.
But don’t worry, if you’re wondering where to stay in Sheffield for Tramlines, Jonas Hotel ticks a lot of those boxes. Budget friendly, easy going and made for people who like to get out and about.

Tramlines started in its original form way back in 2009, spread across venues all over Sheffield, before settling into its now familiar home at Hillsborough Park. These days, it’s a full-scale outdoor festival with a strong line-up of pop, rock and indie, alongside food stalls, family areas and plenty of places to grab a drink.
One of the things people love most about Tramlines is that it doesn’t stay put. Fringe gigs and late-night shows pop up all over the city, meaning you’re just as likely to stumble across live music in a pub as you are on the main stage.
When is Tramlines?
Tramlines Sheffield 2026 runs from 24th to 26th July.
It’s a classic summer weekend setup, which also means accommodation gets snapped up quickly. If you’ve got your tickets sorted, it’s worth getting your accommodation booked in sooner rather than later.

However, Tramlines is very much a city-wide festival. Events spill out into many neighbourhoods across Sheffield, with bars, venues and pop-up gigs keeping things going all weekend.
Getting around is easy. Sheffield’s tram network links Hillsborough with the city centre, and buses and taxis fill in the gaps. It’s a compact city, and very easy to get around.
Where To Stay in Sheffield For Tramlines

When choosing where to stay for Tramlines, it’s less about being right next to the gates and more about being somewhere that makes the whole weekend easier.
Jonas Hotel sits just to the west of the city centre, putting you within easy reach of the festival, nightlife and a very decent selection of food spots. You’re close enough to feel part of it all, without waking up in the middle of the chaos.
Rooms are simple, comfortable and built for a good sleep after a day at the festival. The ground floor is a social space by design, whether that’s swapping stories over a morning coffee or grabbing a drink before heading out. It’s the kind of place where students, contractors, festival goers and backpackers all end up sharing the same table, and that’s very much the point.
After a late night, you can grab your complimentary coffee and pastry in the morning, refuel, and head back out to do it all again.
