Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply when you book a room at Live Jonas, Endcliffe Vale Road, Sheffield, S10 3ER.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation with Live Jonas.
The terms and conditions which apply to your booking will be those which are in place on the date you make your reservation.
Additional terms apply to when booking through Online Travel Agents.
Bookings, Cancellations & Amendments
You must be 18 years old or over to make a reservation.
You must be 18 years old or over to stay at the hotel.
We reserved the right to cancel your reservation at any time, with immediate effect by giving you written notice, including email, should you;
- a) Not pay us when required to do so;
- b) You break the contract between us in any other material way;
- c) We a need to cancel the reservation for business and operational reasons.
The card used to book the room will be encrypted and stored securely.
The following cancellation policy will apply:
For bookings of 4 weeks and under:
- 0-7 days prior to date of arrival no refund will be issued
- 8-14 days prior to date of arrival a refund of 50% will be issued
- 15+ days prior to date of arrival a refund of 100% will be issued
For bookings of between 5 and 26 weeks:
- 0-7 days prior to date of arrival a cancellation fee equivalent to 4 weeks stay will be charged.
- 8-14 days prior to date of arrival a cancellation fee equivalent to 4 weeks stay will be charged
- 15+ days prior to date of arrival a cancellation fee equivalent to 4 weeks stay will be charged
Once checked in, your booking is non-refundable, non-amendable and non-cancellable.
Amendments to bookings will be accepted as detailed below:
To increase the duration of your stay payment will be taken at the time of amendment
To reduce your stay an amendment charge will be made, this charge will be equivalent to 50% of the value of the reduction in your stay.
Upon making a reservation you will receive an email with your details, please check these details upon receipt. If you think there is an error with your booking, please contact our reservations team on email@example.com or call 0114 222 8816.
For reservations of up to 12 weeks’ full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
For reservations over 12 weeks a payment equivalent to 12 weeks’ stay will be taken at the time of booking and the remaining balance will be taken 10 weeks after your arrival date. The payment will be taken from the card we have stored securely. Should this payment fail we will contact you to pay the remaining balance and if no payment is received by the end of the initial 12-week period your contract with us will be terminated. Please note that Live Jonas does not accept AMEX credit cards.
Our room rates are per room per week inclusive of VAT, where applicable however additional nights are charged at a separate rate.
Your room rate includes all utilities, bed linen which will be changed on a weekly basis, TV licence, internet access and room insurance (details of which can be found at www.livejonas.co.uk)
The maximum room occupancy per room: –
Standard Room: One adult
Accessible Room: One adult
You may have an overnight visitor on no more than an occasional basis (frequent overnight visitors will be regarded as sub-letting and is such a breach of these terms and conditions.
We have four accessible rooms which are located on the top first and second floors, as these are limited please specify when making your booking should an accessible room be required.
Lifts / Accessible Issues
Live Jonas does have a lift however should you have accessibility issues please let the reservations team know when making your reservation.
Meals / Drinks
No food or beverage provisions are included in your room rate however food and beverage is available 24 hours via the café/bar area.
There are no facilities for telephone calls or printing within Live Jonas.
Check in and check out
Check in can be done online via the booking process, should you wish to check in person this can be done in the reception area.
The guaranteed time for your room being ready is 3pm, should you arrive early and your room is ready we would be happy for you to check in earlier.
Should you request an early check-in, Live Jonas will do it’s best to try to accommodate your request however an early check-in is not guaranteed.
Upon check-in all guests will be required to have provided valid credit card details that they wish to use to make payment towards any outstanding balances, these details will be encrypted and then securely stored.
Check-out time is 11am.
Any outstanding balances must be settled prior to departure and failure to do so will result in the card stored being charged for the outstanding balance.
Upon time of booking you will be offered the opportunity to pre book a space within the assigned Live Jonas car park at a rate of £3 per night, parking booked on the day will be charged at £5 per night subject to availability. Access to the car park will be via the bedroom key or keyless option.
Vehicles are parked at guests own risk and there is no CCTV coverage of the area. Live Jonas will not accept any responsibility for damage caused to guest’s vehicles.
All lost items recovered will be held by the housekeeping department for 90 days. Lost items will be forwarded after receipt of a £5 plus postage payment.
Where possible we aim to deliver room keys via a mobile key solution, however a physical back up key will also be available. Please keep your room key with you in a safe place at all times, you will need this to access the guest room corridors and your room. You must also show this on ordering and room charging from the bar. Please note that you will be charged £3 if you do not return your room key upon check out.
Guests are allowed to use the kitchen situated on the same floor as your allocated bedroom.
The kitchens shall be kept clean and tidy.
Any unwashed pots and pans will be placed in a box by the hotel staff, should these remain unwashed 24 hours later they will be removed from the kitchen.
Each bedroom will be allocated a locker within the kitchen for the storage of personal items and ambient food goods.
The social space is for use by all residents of the hotel.
It should be kept clean and tidy.
The study rooms situated on the ground floor are for use by all residents of the hotel.
They should be kept clean and tidy.
They should only be used for the purpose of study unless otherwise authorised the hotel.
The hotel will always have priority over the use of the study rooms.
General Rules of Behaviour
To keep the accommodation, its contents and all communal areas in a clean and tidy state.
To ensure the accommodation is left in a clean and tidy condition and free from your possessions at the end of your contract.
To return any keys at the end of your contract.
To allow us to enter your room without prior notice or warning
To comply with all fire drills, emergency alarms or fire evacuation procedures.
Not to tamper with or misuse fire safety and prevention equipment, including fire detection control panels, detectors and internal/external fire doors. Anyone found responsible for such actions may be asked to leave the accommodation prior to the end of their contract. Any such
actions may also be reported to The Police and Fire Service. Fire exits are only to be used in an emergency.
To comply with the no smoking policy, this includes the use of e-cigarettes.
Not to do anything which may cause damage to the electrical installation or equipment, which may be a fire risk or in any other way put the health, safety, welfare or security of others, or the property, or the block insurance policy at risk.
Not to bring in any paraffin, bottled gas or other inflammable, explosive or combustible substances into the Residence.
Not to put anything harmful or which is likely to cause blockage in any pipes or drains
Not to remove anything from, affix anything to, change, damage or attempt to repair the structure or decorative finish of any part of the accommodation.
Not to bring additional furniture, fridges or freezers into the Accommodation unless with prior consent due to medical reasons.
Not to use candles, barbecues, burners, oil lamps, shisha pipes, additional heating, chip pans or other methods of deep fat frying or any other item which may be or become a fire hazard in any part of the accommodation.
Not to use the Accommodation for any purpose other than as a bedroom.
Not to share the Accommodation or sub-let it or transfer occupancy to any person.
Not to have overnight visitors on more than an occasional basis
To be responsible for your invited visitor(s), their conduct and to pay for any damage, defacement or loss of property that the visitor(s) may cause.
Not to cause any nuisance, offence, disruption, harassment or persistent disturbance
Not to make any noise that is audible outside the accommodation at any time. In particular noise disturbance during the quiet period (from 11.00pm until 7.00am each day.
Not to change the internet, electricity, gas or mains water supplies or install satellite receiving devices to the Accommodation, the Flat or the Residence.
Not to bring into the accommodation any animal unless it is an aid for a disabled person.
Except for designated vehicle storage or parking areas, not to bring onto the site any vehicle unless it is an aid for a disabled person.
Not to cause any obstruction of the common part, including corridors, landings, stairwells, entrances and exits. Bicycles should be kept in the designated storage facilities provided – failure to comply will incur a charge.
To treat other occupiers of the accommodation with courtesy and respect for them and their belongings.
We offer a fleet of scooters for our guests to use and enjoy during their stay at Jonas. Please be advised that the use of scooters is at the individuals own risk. Jonas Hotel accepts no responsibility for any injuries which occur due to the use of the scooters. Guests should exercise extra caution using the scooters outside, especially in wet weather.
We will pay the charges for gas, electricity and water for the accommodation.
We will insure the accommodation and your personal possessions come under the block insurance policy and subject to any exclusions and limitations that may apply to that policy (see www.cover4students.com/blockhalls)
We will not interrupt your occupation of the accommodation more than is reasonably necessary and will only enter your room for the purposes of viewing, inspection, cleaning, maintenance and repair.
We will not disclose personal information obtained from you except as permitted by these terms and conditions or where there is a serious risk of harm to you, to others, or to the accommodation’s or others’ property.
Our liability for loss or damage to person or property is excluded unless the loss or damage is caused by our negligence or a breach of its obligations in these terms and conditions.
We will not be liable to pay you any compensation for temporary failure in services such as heating, lighting, water supply or internet connection as long as we take reasonable care to maintain the installations for the supply of those services.
Personal belongings left in the accommodation or other parts of the hotel are at your own risk, although your personal belongings are insured under the block insurance policy that insurance is subject to the conditions, exclusions, limitations and excesses of the policy.
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotel’s property or structure. Examples of charges for damage can be found in the ‘Tariff of Charges’.
Tariff of Charges
Below is a tariff of charges for damaged / taken items to be replaced on a like for like basis.
This is not an extensive list and any items not on this list will be charged at the cost of the item or repair plus a service charge of £50.
- Smoking (including e-cigarettes) – Service charge plus the rate for each night that the room cannot be sold due to smell
- Electrical items – Service charge plus the cost of replacing on a like for like basis.
- Damage to sanitary ware – Service charge plus the cost of repair or replacement.
- Damage to fixture and fittings – Service charge plus the cost of repair or replacement.
- Damage or theft of linen – Service charge plus the cost of repair or replacement.
Breach of contract
Should your behaviour be deemed as unacceptable by the management they reserve the right to terminate this contract with immediate effect and with no refund of monies paid.
